Tropes

  • Favors for the Sexy: Nicki, Jerry's Girl of the Week, is able to get favours by just asking nicely. She manages to get sold-out tickets at the cinema, talks her way out of a speeding ticket and even gets Jerry himself to walk her dog — after they're broken up.
  • Compressed Vice: According to George, Steinbrenner "fires people like it's a bodily function." We don't really see that side of him outside this episode—in fact, a later episode would deal with George's inability to get fired when he's actively trying for it.
  • George Jetson Job Security: Steinbrenner fires very easily, especially when he's hungry and cranky, causing George to worry about what could happen if he can no longer provide his boss's favorite lunch.
  • G-Rated Drug: Steinbrenner becomes completely addicted to calzones, to the point where he trashes George's office looking for the one George was supposed to bring him for lunch.
  • Mistaken for Thief: George attempts to fish back the money from the tip jar so he can put it back when the owner is actually watching. Naturally, the man assumes the worst and kicks him out.
  • Paying in Coins: Kramer attempts to pay for the calzones with his laundry money, which leads to him getting kicked out of the pizza place. He's more successful in the final scene, where he (rather forcefully) pays Todd for Jerry's cigars.
  • Persona Non Grata: George becomes banned from the pizza restaurant for seeming trying to steal from the tip jar when he was actually trying to reclaim he tip he took because the cashier wasn’t looking when he put it in.
