The family decides to buy a car. Stevie's great-aunt dies and David helps her through it. Alexis tries to find out what Ted is hiding.
- Cool Car: Johnny has a reputation for buying expensive, ostentatious cars. The family winds up with a vintage Lincoln that Alexis and David mock.
- Friendship Moment: David consoles Stevie, even offering to spread her ashes in a much nicer parking lot, should it come to that.
- Generation Xerox: Stevie worries about following too closely in her great-aunt's footsteps.
- Honest John's Dealership: Moira and Johnny go to a car dealership expecting to be scammed. Turns out the dealer and his wife were fans of Sunrise Bay and more than willing to give them a deal in recognition of their tightened circumstances... but Moira talked them in to raising the price a bit because of her pride.
- Innocently Insensitive: David jokes about Stevie's look, asking who died. Turned out, it was her great aunt, the only person in her family she liked. David then apologizes and offers to help with the funeral arrangements.
- Separated at Birth: Part of Moira's imagined backstory is that she was kidnapped at birth by Russian mobsters. It turns out that this is a plotline ripped from Sunrise Bay.
- Uncanny Family Resemblance: Stevie greatly resembles her dead great-aunt.
