Chapter 32

Tropes That Appear In This Chapter:

  • Call-Back:
    • When the Hamatos bring Raphael home hog-tied and blindfolded, Tang Shen asks if it was "the mushrooms again".
    • Like in previous chapters, everyone gives Mikey reign over the brain-switching device because he has good instincts with Kraang tech.
  • For Want Of A Nail:
    • Unlike in "The Legend of the Kuro Kabuto", the Hamatos are completely uninvolved with the chase, instead deciding to kickback and watch the Foot Clan scramble to get the Kuro Kabuto back from a safe distance.
    • Unlike in "Plan 10", where it was just the turtles who happen upon the brain-switching machine, Casey and April join them in this version, the two of them giving the Lame Pun Reaction to Mikey's "get ahold of yourself" joke instead of his brothers.
    • Instead of Mikey tickling him awake, Casey wakes Kraang-in-Raphael's-body up by dunking water on him.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Kraang-in-Raphael's-body overheard the kids refer to Raphael by his birth name and uses this as a reference to find out the Hamato Clan's identities via Facebook.
  • Orphaned Punchline: Whatever insult Metalhead gave Kraang-in-Raphael's-body, it was "inaccurate, and anatomically impossible for Kraang."
  • Out-of-Character Alert: While expecting Raph to get angry and chase him around after Casey dunks water in him, instead he gets up with a blank expression. Leatherhead immediately realizes the truth when he starts talking and pins him to the wall.
  • What Kind of Lame Power Is Heart, Anyway?: When the Hamatos encounter Anton Zeck, Donnie ponders how he could incorporate his Invisibility tech for their benefit. Raphael points out that "invisible ninjas" would be redundant.
