Chapter 26

Tropes That Appear In This Chapter:

  • Badass in Distress: While Tang Shen manages to put up a good fight, Tiger Claw and Rahzar still manage to capture her.
  • Battle Couple: When Tang Shen and Splinter arrive to rescue their sons, they utterly demolish Tiger Claw before Rahzar shows up.
  • Face Your Fears: Downplayed. While Miwa doesn't really face 2012-Karai, the fact that the version of her that she fears most actually exists in different realities does nothing for her emotionally.
  • Flirtatious Smack on the Ass: When a baby Kraathatrogon is rubbing against April, at first she thinks its Donnie feeling her up, then Casey before she realizes what it is.
  • Genre Savvy: Since mutation is becoming more and more common — especially among villains — in her world, Miwa, Mikey and Raph have a betting pool on how long it will take for Baxter Stockman to mutate.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: While Hamato Yoshi fight Tiger Claw at close range, Tang Shen hits him from afar with throwing weapons and a crossbow. Justified considering her injuries make her more reliant on less strenuous forms of fighting, though she is not above up-close combat when cornered.
  • The Multiverse: In this chapter, Miwa winds up in the Mirage-Dimension and the 2012-Dimension (specifically when Leonardo tries telling Karai of the truth about her origins) before she lands in and makes allies with the Turtles of the 2003-Dimension.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: When Casey gets eaten, this version of April is especially broken up since before then, she had been nothing but cold and hostile to him when she found out that he was using her to find out what happened to Raph.
