As Chibi-usa and Hotaru grow closer as friends, the two face adversity from the latter's other self who brings great suffering to anyone around her. Additionally, Haruka fears that the other self that resides in the Tomoe girl may be associated with the Death Busters.

- "Ray of Hope" Ending: Hotaru breaks her friendship with Chibi-usa to protect her while Sailor Uranus warns Moon to keep the two girls away from each other. Despite this, the Inner Girls encourage Chibs to continue her friendship with the delicate girl.
