After Sailor Jupiter is kidnapped by the Black Moon, Tuxedo Mask and Luna notice that Petz left behind a piece of the Malefic Black Crystal to examine. Sailor Venus decides to finally interrogate Chibi-Usa, and her reaction to the Malefic Black Crystal proves her allegiance. However, Calaveras of the Black Moon appears in public to brainwash the people, saying that the Black Moon has come to defend Earth from the ‘White Moon’. Sailor Venus decides to attend Calaveras’ public channelling session, and attempt to put a stop to her plans. Meanwhile, Chibi-Usa steals Usagi's brooch, and in her escape, is cornered by Rubeus.
