Mario and SMG4 set off to find SMG1 & 2's USB... only a bunch of old indie games stand in there way.
SMG4 and Mario have arrived in Brazil to find the Guardian Pod. After falling into a chasm in Corcovado, they find themselves traveling through the world of
Newgrounds in their search.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Tricky's only motivation for attacking Hank was that Hank had UNO. Once SMG4 pointed out that Tricky had UNO in his pocket the whole time, he stopped attacking Hank and everyone has a good laugh about it.
- Artistic License – Geography: Played for Laughs. Mario and SMG4 find themselves "Somewhere in Nevada" which is inside of a mountain in Brazil.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Upon starting the Friday Night Funkin' section SMG4 complains that they already did an episode on it. Two even.
- Everyone Laughs Ending: After Mario and SMG4 help Tricky realise that the UNO that he was fighting Hank for was in his own pocket all along, the four of them laugh about it, paying no mind to the mountain of bodies that resulted.
- Failure Is the Only Option: When SMG4 and Henry Stickmin are about to be blown up, Mario is given the following options: Eat, Eat, Eat, Eat, Eat, and Eat.
- Guest Strip: The entire Super Mario Bros. Z section was animated by Pixelcraftian
- Mood Whiplash: After an episode of wacky hijinks, SMG4 and Mario find the Guardian Pod, only to find it has been utterly trashed on the inside and the door suddenly closes on them.
- Shout-Out: The opening is a parody of the opening of Undertale.
- Take That!: After SMG4 complains about having done Friday Night Funkin' already, the segment changes to Friday Night Funkin' + Minions DLC. It makes Mario and SMG4 bolt as fast as their legs will carry them.
- Took a Level in Badass: In the Madness Combat segment, Mario's the one to save him and SMG4 from Tricky’s minions.
- Unexplained Recovery: Tricky is back with no explanation after being skewered by Melony in What if Mario was in Friday Night Funkin' 2.
- Vomit Indiscretion Shot: Mario does this in the Pico's School section when Pico announces that it's time for math.
