Morgan's plans come to a head as the Runaways find unexpected allies and face an unimaginable tragedy.
- Circling Monologue/"The Reason You Suck" Speech: Gert combines these to distract Morgan long enough to set up the circle of salt around her to block her magic.
- Died in Your Arms Tonight: Gert is injured by Morgan. Soon after helping Tina send Morgan back to the Dark Dimension, she succumbs to her wounds and dies in Chase's arms.
- Instantly Proven Wrong: Gert is confused as to how Chase got a phone as "things don't just appear out of thin air!" Right on cue, a portal opens up as Morgan enters the lair.
- Kneel Before Zod: The Runaways (except Nico) bow to Morgan when she states it's too late to stop her and intends to cleanse the world. However, it was all an act to buy Victor some time to block the cell service.Morgan: I will rule. They will swear loyally as they kneel before me.
- One Last Job: What remains of PRIDE team up to save Molly from being sacrificed by the coven.
- Retirony: Gert makes big plans for college and Chase endorses them — and by the end of the episode she dies.
- Shout-Out: Gert's death references her death in the comics, in which she also dies in Chase's arms.
- Spanner in the Works: For all her knowledge of technology, Morgan is unprepared for how a living computer such as Janet is able to take advantage of Los Angeles' infamously poor cell phone service to jam her signal and prevent her phones from using their spell.
- We Used to Be Friends: Tina reveals to Nico that she and Morgan were this, but learns that Morgan's been manipulating her.
- The Worf Barrage: Unfortunately, unlike with "Quinton", Nico's darkness-infused light dagger ends up proving completely ineffective against Morgan. Morgan explains it's due to them no longer being in the Dark Dimension.
