The kids find themselves in an alternate dimension that test their bonds. Not everyone makes it out.
- Ambiguous Situation: Was Quinton pretending to be Amy, or was Amy disguised as him the whole time?
- Dropped a Bridge on Him: Jonah and his family are just gone. Nico's spell expelled them from Victor, Stacey, Tina and Alex.
- Freudian Excuse: Chase's dad was abusive because his own dad was. He apologizes to Chase.
- Mythology Gag: At last, just like in the comics, Nico summons the Staff of One by cutting her palm and having it emerge from out of her chest.
- The Reveal:
- Molly's parents used to select PRIDE's sacrifices.
- Tina tried to bring Amy back using the Staff of One, but couldn't remember the spell.
- Gert was mind-wiped at age 13 by her mother when she saw an earlier prototype of Old Lace, and this is most likely the source of her anxiety.
- Year Outside, Hour Inside: After escaping from the Dark Dimension, they learn that six months had passed.
