Topher helps the kids break into Atlas Academy, but the plan is blown when Dale and Stacey trigger an earthquake and the parents rush to the scene. Jonah's body continues to break down as he leads Karolina into the hole.
- Armor-Piercing Question: Catherine gets fed up when Geoffrey complains about how she "killed my brother" and the "code" he followed.Catherine: Did I not meet you because you killed your boss? Was he not your brother too?
- The Artful Dodger: Topher, who is incredibly street-smart.
- Blatant Lies:
- Topher claims that all the food he presents to the Runaways comes from urban foraging, but most of it looks way too good for this. It's clear that he stole it.
- Gert trying to convince the school nurse that she is back in class in order to get her medication.
- Karolina telling Nico that she's going to provide for all of their friends by making money.
- The Bus Came Back:
- The bum called "Mike on a bike" reappears, helping the PRIDE parents in locating their children.
- Eiffel, the Alpha Bitch of Atlas Academy makes her first appearance since last season.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Geoffrey claims there's a code of honor among gangsters when he calls out Catherine for killing Darius. She counters that the two met when he killed his superior in the gang.
- Good Cop/Bad Cop: The parents take turns in asking friendly or intimidating the volunteer at the PRIDE's soup kitchen for information on their children.
- I Did What I Had to Do: Catherine makes no excuses for murdering and framing Darius, much to her husband'<s anger.
- Incurable Cough of Death: Jonah's condition is internal as well as external; he's coughing up blood.
- Nostalgia Filter: Catherine claims Geoffrey is looking at his gangster past through this, talking of how it was a time where guys stuck to a code when it was really about just selling drugs to make money.
- Oh, Crap!: Dale and Stacey when Jonah suddenly arrives on the digging site.
- Properly Paranoid: While he doesn't show any signs that he might be working with their parents, the Runaways (minus Molly) are still kinda right to mistrust Topher as he hides the real reasons for having powers from them and probably more.
- Super Serum: What Topher's powers actually come from. He is not an enhanced individual as Molly, as he originally claims.
- What the Hell, Hero?: While the 'hero' part might be stretching it, Geoffrey is incredibly angry with his wife for murdering Darius. Catherine remains unapologetic.
