Todd Scouts

  • Bits of Me Keep Passing Out: The dentists inflict this with numbing darts. Raph gets hit in the arms, Mikey in the feet, Donnie in the thigh, and Leo gets them in the face.
  • Chekhov's Skill: The turtles use what Todd taught them to rescue him from the evil dentist.
  • Depraved Dentist: The main antagonist of the episode is some mad dentist who loves collecting exotic teeth, and Todd is on his radar.
  • Easily Forgiven: Todd forgives the gang for blowing him off before Leo even finishes apologizing.
  • Failed a Spot Check: The turtles failed to notice that Todd was with them when they drove out to the woods. Justified since they were all distracted by their phones.
  • Power-Up Food: Todd drinks some of his special lemonade to achieve a state known as Lemon Rush.
  • Shout-Out: Todd's aforementioned Lemon Rush is a parody of super saiyan.
  • Take That!: The episode makes fun of how obsessed people are with their phones nowadays.

Goyles, Goyles, Goyles

  • Big Red Button: Drum has one in his lab that releases all his test subjects.
  • Character Catchphrase: The word awesome seems to be this for the gargoyle sergeant.
  • A Day in the Limelight: The episode focuses on Huginn and Muninn and how they came to be under Draxum’s employ.
  • Expecting Someone Taller: Draxum assumes that Huginn and Muninn are the gargoyles he sent out for, and says he was expecting something more "beef-cakey." Justified since actual recruits were what he was expecting.
  • Failed a Spot Check: When Lou sees the baby turtles that will become Leo and Raph for the first time, he decides to call them Green #1 and Green #2...and then gets confused on which one is which despite the two of them being different species of turtles.
  • Foreshadowing: When Lou mentions that he refuses to harm a living creature, he brings out a rat that was in his jacket. Said rat bites him. After Lou destroys Draxum's lab, he pulls out the rat once more. Said rat bites him and then Lou gets covered in the ooze.
  • Humble Goal: In the flashback, the gargoyles goal is to have someone recognize their talent and give them a small bed by a fireplace. They shamelessly admit this is dog-like.
  • Lampshade Hanging: When the subject of when they met Draxum comes up, the gargoyles say "flashback" followed by "wavy dissolve."
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: Lou's fight with Draxum isn't seen as it cuts to Hugin and Munin feeling the shakes from said fight to go and check it out.
  • Papa Wolf: Despite Lou Jitsu swearing off from fighting, he immediately springs into action when Draxum starts mutating the turtles.
  • Play-Along Prisoner: At the end of the episode, Huginn reveals he could've opened the cage they were in the whole time. He just wanted the flashback to finish before he did.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Just one ungrateful rat is the reason why Lou became Splinter.
  • Villain Episode: The episode revolves around Huginn and Muninn, Draxum's gargoyle sidekicks.
