In New Zealand, the nine remaining teams must take a train to their next destination, where they have the choice of either jumping off a bridge in the hopes of catching fish or performing a Māori warrior dance. Dwayne tries (and fails) to connect with his son, Devin continues to go though the "seven stages of heartbreak", and Emma is forced to choose between her love for Noah and her love for the million dollars.
Tropes
- Actually Pretty Funny: Ryan finds the Ice Dancers' insults towards Stephanie absolutely hilarious.
- Almost Kiss: Noah and Emma almost share a kiss on the lips, only to be barged out of the way by the Surfer Dudes.
- Embarrassing Tattoo: Dwayne gets a tattoo on his chin in order to appear cool to Junior. Junior then realises only women get the tattoo Dwayne got.Don: Who's next to go? Will it be Mother & Son?Dwayne: Hey!
- Heroic BSoD: Twofold:
- Devin continues his "seven stages of heartbreak", having moved on to the second stage: anger. He spends most of the episode blindly destroying things out of sheer anger.
- Noah goes into shock after Emma rejects him.
- Noodle Incident: Noah recounts an incident where the producers of one show tried to feed Owen butter. Apparently, it got the two kicked off the show.Noah: I told the producers "you make Owen eat that butter, he's gonna blow". I guess barfing on the other contestants is okay. But barfing on the host? Not so much.
- Pun-Based Title: The title is a play on the phrase "more or less".
- Shout-Out:
- Noah mentions appearing on The Alligator Bite and The Next Massive Male Model.
- Noah says him and Emma bungee jumping at the same time would be romantic, like that movie about the couple and the sinking ship.Emma: I love that movie.Noah: I've seen it 700 times.
- Dwayne does the moonwalk.
- Swapped Roles: Emma and Kitty: Emma becomes so love-struck regarding Noah that Kitty is forced to take on her role as the responsible sibling who keeps the other focused on the million dollars.
