Summary

Yukimi (present): Subject 071. A human guinea pig who became Kamen Rider Vail.
His single purpose in life was vengeance upon the demon who killed his parents.
However, as he soon found out...
...that very same demon came from him all along.

Tropes

• Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: Two examples:
  • Since Genta's existence is tied to Vail's, they would both die if one of them were to perish. This almost happens to Genta after he defeated Vail, but Genta ends up losing all of his memories instead following Masumi's sacrifice.
  • Masumi using the Demons Driver to seal away Vail caused him to suffer burns all over his body, but it also allows for Genta to live without Vail.
• Face Death with Dignity: Amidst the panic during Genta and Vail's rampage at NOAH's base, Masumi faces the Kamen Rider and accepts his death by his own machination, had it not been for Yukimi and Irabu managing to interrupt the moment.
• Foregone Conclusion:
  • Masumi survives the full body immolation he suffered, as he appears in the series wearing a mask.
  • Subverted with Junpei and Yukimi getting married. After the former loses his memories, Yukimi claims that he’s her husband and he goes along with it.
• Killed Off for Real: Agariyama is swiftly disposed of once Vail separates himself from Genta and runs his arm through the NOAH director.
• The Stinger: Director Akaishi discovers the Demons Driver that contains the newly sealed Vail amidst the wreckage of NOAH's destroyed base.
