Harry, Asta, and D'Arcy dispose of the body by leaving it in the outdoor hot tube of the local motel, intending to fact the autopsy after it is discovered the next day. Harry accepts the job of being the town doctor again as they get the call but the plan hits a snag when Ben shifts the responsibility onto Jessup's police force. Harry finds and plants the bullet casing at the motel, getting the body transferred back to Patience. He starts to perform the autopsy, changing the facts in his report, but Asta has a breakdown. He alters her memories to help her cope but inadvertently leaves her plans with Jay forgotten.
Meanwhile, David survived the fall, his bullet wound healed. General McCallister finds him and has him flee the assassin with her. Later, she brings food for him at the empty house, revealing she drugged his food and stole the alien ball. Realizing there must be a mole in her organization, she recruits David, the only person she knows can't be the mole.
Tropes:
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Asta says she just wants to forget the whole thing, prompting Harry to erase her memories and causing her to forget about her plans with Jay.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Harry wants to be able to inflict capital punishment on Ellen the next time she steals granola bars from his office. Ben wouldn't agree to it.
- Heroic BSoD: Despite having done so to save Harry's life, Asta is guilt-ridden over taking another human life and has trouble functioning.
- Enemy Mine: With the sniper trying to kill General McCallister and David, and had to have been informed by a mole in her group, they are forced to work together as David is the one person she knows isn't the mole. However, it is clear he can't trust her but needs her to get his life back.
- Jurisdiction Friction: As the body was technically in Jessup, Detective Lena Torres starts taking over the investigation. Sheriff Mike isn't happy to see them taking away the victim's car and Harry certainly isn't happy about losing the body. When a (planted) bullet casing is found on the Patience side, the body is returned.
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: Harry wipes Asta's memories of the night she killed a man, apparently not learning his lesson from the last time he took a day from someone.
- No One Should Survive That!: David was shot in the chest and fell into the river last episode but survived and healed. The alien ball is credited with his recovery.
- No "Police" Option: While Asta and D'Arcy want to tell the police what happened, Harry convinces them not to as once the mysterious man's friends find out Asta killed him they will kill her.
- No-Tell Motel: While D’Arcy distracts Judy, Harry and Asta move the body into the motel hot tube. Judy explicitly states that the motel doesn't have security cameras so people can hook up without anyone knowing.
- Something We Forgot: Harry wipes Asta's memories of the night she shot the man, resulting in her forgetting her plans with Jay and
- Spanner in the Works: Ben informs Jessup police that the body was in their jurisdiction so he doesn't have another murder in his city, derailing Harry's plans to fake the autopsy when they take the body.
- There Are No Therapists: Harry once again assumes the role of Ben's therapist, a job he is completely unqualified for and disinterested in. He tried to end the session early when Kate stops talked but she never did and he does math problems in his head to pass the time.
- Too Dumb to Live: Judy eats eggs that had been left out on the counter overnight. Later, despite having been told not to, she gets into the hot tube that had a dead body floating in for hours. She then undresses and turns it on.
- Trapped with the Therapy Session: Harry is stuck playing therapist for Ben and Kate's issues. He tries to end it early but can't get a word in, trapping him in the office as Kate ramble on.
- Wood Chipper of Doom: Subverted. D'Arcy asks Harry if he has a wood chipper to dispose of the body but he doesn't have one.
