The Reds and Blues follow the signal of Church's message to a strange, familiar canyon full of equally strange and familiar soldiers.
Tropes:
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: While mistaking current canyon for Blood Gulch, Caboose brings up when he shot Church with the tank, adding, "That was a very exciting episode."
- Call-Back: Sarge is hesitant to walk into the desert canyon, noting the high points all around as a likely ambush spot, the same kind of estimation Wash made about the trap Tex set up on The Revelation.
- Rock–Paper–Scissors: Sarge and Surge do this to determine who's in charge, calling it "procedure".
- Stock Scream: Jax tries to do an imitation of the Wilhelm Scream when the battle starts.
