- Brick Joke: Continuing from the previous episode, Sarge's plan to crash through the pirates on the Warthog in slow motion comes true, with Sarge shouting "LIFE FINDS A WAY!" like he previously said as they drive away.
- Call-Back:
- Like Wash in Season 9, Church asks, "What the fuck is with this guy?" in regards to Sharkface.
- Also, the Reds’ slow-motion car crash towards the Space Pirates is done in a similar way Grif did to Washington back in Revelation.
- Heroic RRoD: Near the end of her fight Sharkface, Carolina pushes both her armor and Epsilon so hard that everything shuts down and the memory-fragments destabilize.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: When Red Team, Washington, and the armies of Chorus manage to break through the blockade and escape, Locus declines chasing after them due to knowing the enemy will have reinforcements waiting for them if they pursue, and orders his men to stand down.
- See the Invisible: Wash provokes Locus (who is cloaked) into shooting at him, so Bitters and Smith can follow the vapor trail of his bullet to his location.
- Shout-Out: Bitters calls Lcous a "Predator knock-off".
