Roman decides to steal the Winter Holiday spirit.
- And That's Terrible: When Roman tries to steal Ruby's holiday spirit with the Spirit Sucker, he takes the chips from her cookie as well, for good measure.Ruby: Oh, what's the point? (Makes puppy-dog eyes and tears up)
- Black Comedy: Roman suffers a heart attack near the end of the episode, and the entire scene is Played for Laughs.
- I Just Want to Be Loved: Implied to be the reason Roman hates the holidays so much; he plans to steal Nondescript Winter Holiday because he feels that nobody cares about him.
- Shout-Out:
- The entire episode might as well be called How the Crime Boss Attempted to Steal Nondescript Winter Holiday.
- At the end of the skit, team JNPR arrive dressed up as the Peanuts gang, with Jaune dressed as Charlie Brown, Nora as Lucy van Pelt, Pyrrha as Peppermint Patty, Ren as Schroeder, and Zwei taking the place of Snoopy.
- Silent Snarker: Neo cannot speak, but expresses her opinions through very sarcastic message boards, such as her opinion of the name of Torchwick's invention.Neo: What sucks is the name.
- You Mean "Xmas": The people of Remnant celebrate Nondescript Winter Holiday, which is more or less the non-religious version of Christmas.
