Jaune attempts to call Weiss.- Butt-Monkey: Jaune tries to call Weiss to ask her out. While he's talking to her voice mail, he tries to kick a stone and instead trips himself up and lands on his head.
Reloading
Ruby practices shooting Crescent Rose with Ice, Fire, and Gravity dust. She fires the first two just fine, but the Gravity Dust blows her backward.- Abnormal Ammo: The ammo Ruby keeps calling for consists of elemental powers. First she loads up ice ammo, then fire ammo, then gravity ammo.
- Call-Back: This explicitly reveals that, in the "Red" Trailer, Ruby was using Gravity Dust, both the symbol and distinctive muzzle flash effect seen prominently in the animatic.
- Law of Inverse Recoil: Ruby has no trouble firing the ice ammo or fire ammo. However, when she fires the gravity ammo, she is blown backwards by the force of its power.
Jaune Calls Weiss, Part 2
Jaune continues to attempt to call Weiss.Blake Tag
Blake and Yang play tag. Yang is It, but no matter how hard she tries, she keeps tagging Blake's shadow clones instead of Blake herself.- Mundane Utility: Blake uses her Semblance to play a game of tag.
- Rearrange the Song: While Yang tries to catch Blake during a game of Tag, a light-hearted remix of "From Shadows" plays in the background.
Jaune Calls Weiss, Part 3
Jaune finally gets frustrated with Weiss not responding, and smashes her scroll on the ground. Weiss had actually lost her scroll that day and is confused.- Blank White Eyes: When Jaune sees Weiss's scroll, he grabs it from Blake's hand and smashes it to pieces on the ground before departing quickly. Weiss can only stare with blank white eyes at the bizarre spectacle.
Blake vs. Zwei, Part 2
Zwei searches for Blake in the kitchen. He doesn't find Blake, who has hidden herself in the freezer and is currently quite chilly.- Hammerspace Hideaway: Blake hides from Zwei by folding herself into the tiny freezer compartment of the refrigerator. Zwei doesn't find her, but she ends up freezing.
