Go To

Tropes

  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: Fatcatfish after Jen corners him.
  • Armor-Piercing Question: How Wes convinces Jen not to destroy Fatcatfish:
Wes: You've got every reason to want revenge. But I wonder, what would Alex do?
Jen: He'd say... "everything by the book".
  • Fanservice: Jen's training scene, where she works out her frustration wearing jogging pants and an athletic top.
  • If You Kill Him, You Will Be Just Like Him!: How the Rangers try to talk Jen down from "destroying" Fatcatfish.
  • I Surrender, Suckers: Fatcatfish in his first encounter with the Rangers.
  • It's Personal: Jen, after Fatcatfish taunts her over Alex's death, is more than willing to kill him.
  • Kick the Dog: Fatcatfish is more than happy to rub Alex's death in Jen's face. It prompts Jen to try to kill him instead of arrest him.
  • Monster of the Week: Fatcatfish, a bounty hunter.
  • Never Say "Die": Averted once. Jen does explicitly mention the word “death.”
  • Scooby Stack: Trip, Katie, and Lucas attempt this once while eavesdropping on Wes and Jen near the end. It didn't work so well.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: The rangers are insistent that Jen incapacitates the monster rather than destroy it, since standard policy at Time Force is to capture and not kill the mutants. This was the first time this was invoked on the monsters in the entire franchise. Likely justified, since the mutants are essentially "imperfect" humans.
