With Frax's betrayal, Ransik is left without any of the serum needed to control his Venomark affliction. In order to get a new supply, he goes to the one place that manufactured it: Bio-Lab! As his assault on the lab results in an unlikely person getting caught in the line of fire, the Time Force's mysterious benefactor finally reveals himself.
Tropes:
- Body Horror: Ransik has another venom attack, this one far more violent than the ones he's had before. His mutant DNA causes him to lose control of his ability to form weapons from his bones, and causes spikes and blades to grow out from his body until he can get to the serum.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Ransik escaping with the serum, Mr. Collins injured from their confrontation, an alive Alex appearing before the Time Force, and Frax making preparations for his own plan to conquer the city.
- "Eureka!" Moment: When Ransik is at a loss of what to do as his next venom attack may finish him off, Nadira realizes that Bio-Lab had reproduced and manufactured the serum for Venomark's victims and likely has a supply of it in stock.Ransik: (Grinning) Bio-Lab. You are a genius, my sweet.
- Even Evil Has Standards: When confronted by Mr. Collins, Ransik tears into him over his abandoning his son when he chose not to follow in his footsteps. A bit of
Fridge Logic here, as Ransik himself is a father and a mutant from a time period in which his kind are viewed as monsters, so the idea of abandoning his child is unthinkable to him. - Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Due to Mr. Collins refusing to dispose of the serum, Ransik ended up getting a new supply, just when he needed it. He even flat out told Ransik that if he had known Ransik needed that serum, he would've dumped it down the drain himself.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Frax ended up messing up his own plan to destroy Ransik by releasing Venomark and make it necessary for Bio-Lab to mass produce the serumnote .
- Papa Wolf: Mr. Collins confronts Ransik when he invades Bio-Lab and uses the serum to calm his affliction. Mr. Collins knows how dangerous Ransik is, but he also knows he is the man who tried to kill his son, so he doesn't hesitate to stand up to him and insult him to his face.Mr. Collins: I know who you are. You tried to destroy my son... And if I had known that serum could help you I would have poured it down the drain myself!
- Race Against the Clock: A villainous version. With his serum supply gone thanks to Frax, Ransik has to get more before his next attack. He ends up reaching the serum just when he was moments away from being killed by the attack.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Ransik gives a small one to Mr. Collins over how he threw his own son out of his life. But Collins tells him he's proud of Wes following his own path.
- The Reveal: The mystery man is Alex.
- Villainous Valor: Even with his venom affliction being far more intense than ever, Ransik manages to power through and get to Bio-Lab's supply of serum before the attack killed him.
- Wham Episode: Mr. Collins has been severely injured by Ransik, and Alex is revealed to be alive.
- Wham Shot: The mystery man’s face is finally revealed, and shows that he is a very much alive Alex.
