Tropes

  • Big "NO!": Venjix does this when a giant building falls on him.
  • Book Ends: The season begins and ends with Dillon wandering the wastes, stopping to water a flower.
  • Colony Drop: Gem and Gemma physically destroy Venjix by dropping the Corinth control tower on his head. Key word, physically.
  • Continuity Nod: After Scott leaves Ziggy to protect Dr. K:
Ziggy: Don't worry. You can count on me, Dr. K.
Dr. K: Yeah, last time I did that, I ended up in a cave.
    Ziggy: Good times, huh?
  • Disney Death: Gem and Gemma. They get better.
  • The End... Or Is It?: The battle is won. Venjix is defeated. The Rangers turn in their morphers and move on with their lives. The world is starting to heal from Venjix's apocalypse. And then we see one of the Rangers' Morphers blinking with a red light, just like Venjix's all-seeing eye, as Dr. K closes the holding case...
  • The Fellowship Has Ended: Now that the threat of Venjix is no more the Rangers, Dr. K, and Tenaya all state their intentions for the futurenote , return their morphers, and say their goodbyes to each other.
  • First-Name Basis: Dr. K finally calls Ziggy by his real name. She justifies it by saying that, since he's not a Series Operator anymore, she's got to call him something.
  • Grand Finale: This episode serves as the grand finale for the franchise's Disney era, wrapping up six years and 242 episodes.
  • Hope Sprouts Eternal: At the end of the episode, Dillon, Summer and Tenaya find the flower that Dillon saw at the beginning of the season. After watering it for old times sake, the trio discover more flowers and eventually a mountain range with new plant growth covering it, showing that the world has begun to heal from Venjix's assault.
  • Not Quite Dead: Gem and Gemma are able to come back from being deleted by Venjix because, according to them, the energy from the biofield can't be completely destroyed, so after Dr. K got the field back under her control it was a simple matter to reverse the process.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: Congratulations, Rangers, you have defeated Venjix!note  All it cost was 99% of life on earth, and the ecosystem will take millennia to recover, leaving life outside Corinth a living cancer-laden hell for generations. Have fun!
    • No Endor Holocaust is implied, as Dillon, Summer, and Tenaya begin Walking the Earth unprotected, and they find a place where the environment is already beginning to return to normal.
  • Sequel Hook: The Stinger hints that Venjix survived by infecting the morphers, a likely hook for a future teamup episode that never happened. Later subverted as it was ultimately resolved in the conclusion of Power Rangers Beast Morphers.
  • Series Fauxnale: At the time, this was the end of the franchise completely, with a "reversioned" MMPR Season 1 airing the following year to fulfill contracts with the affiliates.
  • Unperson: Following on the previous episode, Venjix attempts to delete the other Rangers when they go toe-to-toe with him and hold out. It turns out Dr. K anticipated this and with Tenaya's help, makes it so that all of his Grinders get wiped out instead. Though he quickly catches on and takes aim at his base upon realizing he's been hacked.
  • Walking the Earth: After Venjix is defeated, Dillon, Summer, and Tenaya decide to head outside Corinth and explore the world together.
