Steel learns the concept of discipline, but takes it too far, inadvertently enabling Evox to take control of Nate.
Episode Tropes:
- An Aesop: Not every mistake merits punishment.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Nate.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Nate can be seen working on the Beast X King Bolt in the first act of the episode.
- Jerkass Ball: Steel, though it's mostly played for laughs, as he spends much of the episode punishing random Grid Battleforce employees for minor violations.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Steel was right about enforcing the rule that requires all packages to be inspected. The one time the rule was overlooked resulted in Nate being controlled by the Monster of the Week.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Steel's reaction upon learning that it wasn't really Cole's fault for delivering the infected puppet to Nate.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Steel unknowingly causes a chain of events that leads to a mind-controlled Nate constructing some sort of computer program for Evox.
- Tempting Fate: During the epilogue, Steel says the day can't get any weirder. Cue the spilled liquid fertilizer making a new tree grow in seconds and Steel acknowledging he's wrong.
- Ungrateful Bastard: Evox insults Robo-Blaze and Robo-Roxy even though they successfully got Controlatron to mind control Nate.
