- He Is Not My Boyfriend: Harper and Sarah still think Ash is their sister's boyfriend. And Lana is trying to get them to understand that he isn't.
- Leaning on the Fourth Wall: This episode marks the first time Anela is called by her name despite debuting almost 80 episodes ago, which Meowth lampshades by noting that he never actually heard it before.
- Shout-Out:
- The Japanese title for the episode is a reference to the video game series DanceDanceRevolution. The English title is more a reference to a Don Henley song, "All She Wants to Do is Dance".
- Steenee's evolution to Tsareena includes a shot straight out of Sailor Moon's third arc transformation.
- Took a Level in Badass: Steenee learns Stomp, and quickly evolves into Tsareena (who learns Trop Kick as a result of evolving).
