After getting abducted by Team Rocket, Pikachu and Piplup end up stranded on a deserted island, where they meet a wild Corphish that is guarding a mysterious glowing jewel. While their trainers search for them, Pikachu and Piplup assist Corphish and a school of Mantyke in preparing for a major event involving the jewel, which they learn is to regenerate the legendary Pokémon Deoxys.
