The finals of the Equestria League finally begin, with this battle not just determining the winner of the tournament and who will face Shining Armor, but finally put an end to the rivalry between Flash Sentry and Lightning Blitz since the start of both their journeys.
- Absurdly Youthful Mother: Father in Hopper's case, but it is revealed that he and Princess already have an egg, even though as Spike points out, Hopper is less than a year old himself.
- Kill It with Fire: Viper manages to defeat Androrg with Pyro Coil. Not to mention it was already suffering burn damage.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: Flash recalls Springer and Prongs against Androrg and Thrashark respectively, when things aren't going well for them.
- Pom-Pom Girl: Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Trixie all dress like cheerleaders, provided by Rarity herself, to cheer for Flash, complete with pom-poms.
- Status Effects:
- Viper manages to burn Androrg during their battle from his Pyro Coil attack.
- Venomega poisons Skyler thanks to its Poison Point ability. After Skyler is defeated Flash chooses to send out Viper specifically to avoids this, since Viper is part Poison type himself and therefore is immune to being poisoned.
- This Is Gonna Suck: At the end of the chapter, Grand has realized what Lightning's strategy is, and it is so bad he declares that Flash has already lost.
