This issue contains examples of:

  • Antagonistic Offspring: Korinna and Juniper make their moves to get rid of their father Everett and take control of the Earth.
  • Bait-and-Switch: In the opening, PK is attacked and restrained by a gigantic droid... we later learn it was an ally, carrying a message from Everett instructing PK on how to deal with his daughters.
  • Big Damn Heroes: PK shows up in time to save Everett and use the depowering gun on the two sisters.
  • But Now I Must Go: The story ends with Everett deciding to make amend by returning to Corona, taking Korinna and Juniper with him.
  • Evil Plan: Korinna uses her powers to brainwash Everett's pilot into believing that his employer died in a flight accident, while Juniper persuades him into letting her man the machine he was using to find Korinna... so that she can control the anti-psychic droid and use it to capture Everett and put him in criogenic sleep, while she becomes Everett's official heir and can take advantage of her position to take over the Earth.
  • Faking the Dead: Korinna uses her psychic powers to trick Everett's personal pilot in believing that he was carrying Everett on his plane, that the plane caught fire and that Everett couldn't jump out of it in time. Because of Everett's own reclusive nature and Juniper distracting him, this works.
  • Good All Along: Turns out, Everett Ducklair was this. He was aware of his daughter's plotting, but was willing to accept even the tiniest bit of chance that at least Juniper could be redeemed, and couldn't bring himself to harm his daughters either.
  • He's Just Hiding: In-Universe, Angus claims that Everett is still around and promises to hunt after him.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Invoked by Everett's daughters, who plan to use their father's psychic-proof droid to De-power him... only to find out that the droid never had that function.
  • Out-Gambitted: Everett knew of his daughter's scheme, sent a message to PK using his droid and gave him a depowering gun to take out Korinna and Juniper.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
    • Everett finds himself on the end of one when both his daughters confront him.
    • In the B-plot, Mortimer calls Fitzroy out on his lashing at his colleagues when he thought they stole his prized autographed photo (in truth, it simply unglued and fell behind the cabinet).
  • Relationship Upgrade: Rupert and Stella Nice finally get together.
  • The Reveal: Korinna and Juniper finally reveal their true colors to Everett. Everett reveals that he knew all along and that he had countermeasures ready.
  • Sore Loser: Fitzroy is visibly frowning when Rupert Potomac is chosen by Mortimer to be his successor, especially considering all his previous smarmy attempts to smear his colleagues.
  • Spider Limbs: Ducklair's anti-psychic droid can deploy four slender spider-like legs from its abdomen to restrain the target.
  • Take Over the World: Juniper plans to fake Everett's death to inherit his place and use Korinna's psychic skills to work her way to the top and conquer Earth from within.
  • Ungrateful Bastard:
    • Malice Sturling is still adamant in refusing any sort of help from PK.
    • In a moment of supreme jerkassisness, Fitzroy mocks Rupert when he learns that he wanted to give him his autographed baseball to him to make up for the loss of the latter's cherished photo.
