  • Asshole Victim: It's hard to feel too sorry for Morales after he had Brass injured and murdered Bian Yixhue.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: O'Reily is very upset by Cyril's impending execution and tries to explain things in a way that will be make everything less upsetting for Cyril.
  • Easily Forgiven: Despite Keller betraying him, lying about his son's death and shanking him back in the season three finale Schillinger welcomes him back with open arms, blaming all of their problems onto Beecher.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Pablo is right that Rebadow isn't treating Stella very well.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Neema gains respect for O'Reily after learning how hard he has tried to save Cyril and organizes a demonstration, showing support for the O'Reilys.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Robson is haunted by guilt for hurting his wife.
  • Moral Myopia: Omar is disgusted McManus is bringing a scumbag like Idzik to Em City but McManus tells him that he's just as much of a scumbag.
  • Mercy Kill: Idzik requests Omar give him one.
  • Pet the Dog: McManus allows Ryan to use the meditation maze as Cyril's being executed, despite never having made any secret of how much he hates Ryan's guts.

    • Keller acts really hurt that Beecher thinks he'd mess up his parole despite the fact he did it.
    • Grace makes out Glynn and Gloria are treating her unfairly.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Burr has Gougeon sabotage the bookbinding business Arif runs so the Homeboys won't be able to deal drugs.
