Recap / One Hundred And One Dalmatian Street S 1 E 28 Fox In The Dog House

Go To

Fergus stays at the dog house after Dylan and Dolly accidentally get him injured.

This episode features examples of:

  • Big Brother Instinct: While Dolly is the first to have concerns, what makes Dylan agree with her is seeing the negative influence which Fergus has become on Dizzy and Dee Dee.
  • Continuity Nod: In "It's My Party," it was established that Destiny likes foxes (or at least wants to do a fundraiser for baby foxes). In this episode, Fergus is eventually seen wearing Destiny's collar while he's staying in the house.
  • A Day in the Limelight: For Fergus. The episode centers on him staying over with the family.
  • Hates Baths: Subverted. Fergus says he does, but when he actually does take one, he ends up enjoying it.
  • Oireland: Subverted, since this Trope is actually a pet peeve of Fergus. When Triple-D perform a river dance to entertain Fergus, he questions "What is with the highly offensive cultural stereotyping?" Triple-D then put on Music which is more representative of modern Irish Music.
  • Playing Sick: After Fergus's injury heals, he keeps the bandage on and pretends he's still hurt so the puppies will keep waiting on him.
  • Sensei for Scoundrels: Fergus teaches the puppies to get more "in touch with their wild side," namely by stealing for him.
  • Stock Femur Bone: The puppies get Fergus Doug and Delilah's "anniversary bone," which is so big it takes several of them to carry it.
  • Tempting Fate: After dodging Dolly flying at him, Fergus smugly states that the "Fergus shimmy" never fails. Then he gets nailed in the head by her skateboard.
  • Title Drop: The puppies do this together after Dylan and Dolly take the injured Fergus in.
    Puppy 1: Who's that guy?
    Puppy 2: It's a fox!
    Diesel: In the dog house?
  • We Are Not Going Through That Again: At the end of the episode, Dylan and Dolly find the triplets gushing over Sid and Big Fee, who are feigning injuries like Fergus did. They react by slamming the door in the duo's faces.
  • You Monster!: Destiny says this (in plural form) when Fergus fakes sympathy for the pups while Dylan and Dolly are trying to expose the fox.
