• All for Nothing: During his appointment, Eddie's therapist recommends he talk to his Army comrades from the helicopter crash, the incident was the source of his Silver Star, as they shared a trauma they can process together. He saved them from the crash, but they died afterwards.
• Driven to Suicide: Mills, one of the helicopter crash survivors, and the last known alive, shot herself last August.
• I Just Want to Be Normal: Eddie tells buck that he's afraid he's "never gonna feel normal again."
• Internal Reveal: Buck tells Taylor about his kiss with Lucy. She's initially angry, but they make up by the end of the episode, promising not to keep any more secrets.
• MacGyvering: Lucy does this for one of the victims, using a walk-in freezer to serve as a makeshift chamber to stabilize him.
• Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Another call has the 118 respond to escaped pets, who turn out to be spiders. The temporary caretaker was wrapped up. Bobby makes a run for it as soon as the caretaker is stabilized.
• Survivor Guilt: Eddie tells Buck of his fellow soldiers, "I pulled them out, but I didn't save them."
• Two Scenes, One Dialogue: Buck talks with Maddie, while Hen talks with Chimney, about the same thing.
