Naomi is heading for a camping trip with her class and her parents try to lure Commander Steel away from their daughter. Meanwhile, Dee and Zumbado go after the injured bounty hunter Jaeger

  • Bait-and-Switch: During their first attempt to find Moonshine Jimmy, all the kids do is stumble upon Director Richard's cookie supply.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: According to Zumbado, Dee of all people is a former war criminal.
  • Easy Amnesia: Anthony doesn't remember what happened when he had Dilsutel poisoning clearly, so he remains Locked Out of the Loop about Naomi being an alien.
  • Enemy Mine: Dee and Zumbado, despite the animosity between them, work together to find Jaeger.

  • Genre Savvy: Annabelle makes several references to horror films when she thinks that they are hunting a ghost, like saying that sequels always have a bigger bodycount or telling her friends that this is the part where the audience starts yelling at the characters to turn back.
  • Ghost Story: The counselors tell an urban legend about a logger named Moonshine Jimmy, who went on a murderous rampage.
  • Honour Before Reason: Despite still being injured and outnumbered by Dee and Zumbado, Jaeger refuses to stand down, claiming that he plans on fulfilling his contract. He gets unceremoniously
  • Human Alien Discovery: Counselor Jeff is an alien of undisclosed heritage.
  • Mythology Gag: Naomi and Anthony a material called Dilustel, which is the substance that gives Captain Atom his powers.
  • Oh, Crap!: Jennifer and Greg, when they see that Commander Steel has found Naomi's rock.
  • Pet the Dog: Despite his dislike of Dee, Zumbado tells him that the name of his former lover Qyeala is also on the list Jaeger had on him.
  • Phantom Zone: After Jaeger is dealt with Dee gives him to Adam Blake to imprison him in the Phantom Zone.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Dee gets Zumbado to help him with Jaeger by pointing out that the man may start talking and reveal Zumbado's presence on Earth, something Zumbado very much does not want.
  • Shipper on Deck: Annabelle is shipping for Naomi and Nathan.

  • Spotting the Thread: Commander Steel seemingly realizes that Greg and Jennifer tampered with the test to cover up something.
  • Summer Campy: Naomi and her class are going to a camping trip and she and Anthony accidentally stumble upon an alien substance and discover that one of their counselors is an alien.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork:
    • Anthony and Nathan are obviously still not comfortable around each other.
    • Dee and Zumbado swallow their animosity for a moment to find Jaeger.
  • Toxic Phlebotinum: What exactly the blue-glowing Dilsutel is good for is not revealed, but it has a toxic effect on humans, and Anthony starts bleeding from the nose after standing near it for a short period of time.
  • Two Lines, No Waiting: Three, in this case, as all subplots have equal importance.
  • We Need a Distraction:
    • Annabelle fakes interest and asks Mrs. Varady to fetch some bear fossils so that Anthony can snatch the camcorder.
    • Jennifer distracts Lieutenant Ramirez so that Greg can swap out the material sample.
