Zipp becomes suspicious of the necklace Misty wears around her neck and takes it while she isn't looking only to discover the necklace corrupts anypony who wears it.

- Acquired Situational Narcissism: Played for Laughs. After Zipp is hypnotized by Opaline’s necklace, she starts bragging about being next in line for the throne of Zephyr Heights while wearing a crown.
- Big Damn Heroes: Misty ends up saving the day when she notices that the necklace has corrupted her friends.
- Corrupt the Cutie: Opaline’s necklace does this to the Mane 5.
- Evil Laugh: Izzy, Hitch, and Pipp do this when being hypnotized by the necklace.
- Hypno Trinket: Opaline's necklace is this to anyone who ears it (apart from Misty).
- Laser-Guided Amnesia: Based on some dialogue from Pipp and Sunny, whenever someone stops wearing Opaline’s necklace, they cannot remember what happened to them after wearing it.
- Mind-Control Eyes: Whoever is affected by Opaline's necklace has their eye color be turned red.
