Sunny is still having trouble controlling her alicorn powers so her friends try to help her control it.

- Crisis Makes Perfect: All the girls failed to help Sunny activate her powers correctly, but when she's at the beach and sees a huge wave heading towards some foals, she's able to use her alicorn powers properly and turn the huge wave into glitter.
- Die or Fly: Zipp invokes this by having Sunny go through a dangerous obstacle course to activate her powers, but the best it did was make her left wing normal sized while keeping her right wing small.
- Power Makes Your Hair Grow: After Pipp gives Sunny's mane a new style, Sunny's powers activates where her unicorn horn appears but her mane is grown too long that it covers her entire body.
