The lore of the world is expanded upon, demi-humans and magic are explained, Belial's past is delved into a little, and Chiaki shares a few geeky interests from her homeworld.

- Affectionate Nickname: Belial calls Keegan "Shortstuff".
- Blessed with Suck: It's noted that, since alignments are basically random, it's entirely possible to get an alignment that clashes with one's chosen lifestyle or species, like Nagisa being a librarian with a Playing with Fire alignment or Verity being a nereid with a Shock and Awe affinity, the latter choosing to keep her magic sealed because she loves swimming and has heard tales of nereids with her alignment accidentally electrocuting themselves.
- Inelegant Blubbering: Nagisa melodramatically cries tears of joy after hearing Chiaki's recap of a video game.
- Pick a Card: Chiaki attempts the trick after Nara asks her about magic in her world. Due to unwittingly using a deck of tarot cards rather than playing cards like she thought, she botches it quite spectacularly.
