Tropes

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Somewhat, in the manga, after Izuku and Uraraka share a moment and fist bump each other, Mineta is shown shaking with jealousy. The anime has him smile at them along with the rest of the class. He basically goes from a Green-Eyed Monster in the manga, to a Shipper on Deck in the anime.
  • Bystander Syndrome: All Might confesses to Aizawa that he wishes he could do more following his retirement than just sit around. Aizawa assures him to put their trust in the students and live on for their sake.
  • Implied Death Threat: When Aizawa asks Yamada what he will do when they find the guys responsible for Kurogiri, he response that he'll throw a big party for them... loud enough to make their ears bleed.
  • Internal Reveal: This is the first time Shigaraki has heard about One For All and how it connects to All For One.
  • Speak Ill of the Dead: Bakugo isn't kind to the previous One For All users dying young. Because they were all simply torchbearers instead of legitimate heroes, All Might is forced to admit this.
  • The Stinger: The U.A. Hero Course student are called to take part in a major evacuation behind a city. Midoriya narrates that they are about to be part of a clash against the newly formed Paranormal Liberation Front; one that will be a major gamechanger for hero society.
  • Wham Line: Ujiko recounts to Shigaraki something that not even All For One had control over: One For All.
