"We are here!"

"All For One" is the ninth episode of My Hero Academia's third season, and the 47th episode overall.

A reporter grills Aizawa about Bakugo during a press conference. Watching this, Bakugo again refuses to join the League of Villains. Unbeknownst to everyone, however, the law enforcement's rescue effort is already underway, and All Might, along with a host of other pro heroes, bust open the hideout and immobilize the villains.

Meanwhile, Yaoyorozu's tracker leads the students to a warehouse containing multiple Nomu. Mt. Lady easily destroys the facility and Best Jeanist ties up the Nomu. Tiger finds Ragdoll, catatonic but alive. Suddenly, however, All Might's group finds themselves attacked by multiple Nomu as Bakugo is teleported away. It is revealed that a mysterious man attacked Best Jeanist's group just minutes prior.

Tropes present

  • Antagonist Title: This episode is titled "All For One" for The Man Behind the Man and Shigaraki's villainous mentor.
  • Badass in Distress: Bakugo refuses to join the League, and is willing to fight back or escape despite being cornered and outnumbered. Luckily, the Pro Heroes arrive to intervene.
  • Big "NO!": All Might lets out a huge "NO!" when Bakugo is warped away from him.
  • Deadly Delivery: Downplayed. None of the policemen or pro heroes outside the villains' lair dress up as a delivery man, but one does announce that he's a pizza delivery guy to catch the villains off guard. More than likely just done for drama, as All Might punched open the door right after anyway.
Edgeshot: Hello, I got a pizza delivery here.
  • Double-Meaning Title: The title of course refers the villain's name, as well as the fact that All for One plans to make sure Shigaraki grows into the proper villain he needs to be.
  • From Bad to Worse: The League is already a threat on their own. The moment All For One enters the scene, things take a turn for the worse.
  • Hope Spot: Iida and the other students are elated by the realization that the heroes were already acting to rescue Bakugo. Unfortunately, All For One reveals himself and derails that train of thought all too quickly.
  • Imagine Spot: Midorya imagines a very grim one of he and his friends' death upon learning that who All For One is and what he's capable of.
  • It's Quiet… Too Quiet: Mt. Lady remarks that their job of taking out the Nomu factory was too easy. Cue All For One coming out of the shadows…
  • Sensing You Are Outmatched: In The Stinger, Midoriya and the others are still hiding behind a wall, but are now frozen in absolute fear following All For One's display of his powers against the pro heroes. They don't even need to look around it to see him, they can literally feel the dread of being that close to such a deadly villain. They know that they are as good as dead if they try anything.
  • Time for Plan B: Shigaraki requests his boss for "something" that would compel Bakugo into joining them, but the Pros arrive before he can use it.
  • The Worf Effect: All For One makes his presence known by taking down all present Pros in one fell swoop, demonstrating why he is the mastermind behind the League of Villains.
