Slips oversleeps in class and when he awakens, finds himself trapped in the school in the middle of the night. Slips' friends sneak into the school after hours, to save him. Things turn out to be harder than they expected, when they see that CDMS has a second semester that occurs at night, for nocturnal students and they have to sift through a creepy, night school, full of wild, scary, unresponsive animals.

- All for Nothing: After night school lets out, we come to find that Slips had already escaped, really early on in the episode, making most of the gang's journey completely useless.
- The skunk teacher apparently called the Hall Monitor on Adam about a minute before class let out.
- Bat Out of Hell: Lupe encountered some bat girls, who were nice at first, before she realized they were blood-sucking vampire bats, who tried to get her hooked on the new drink.
- Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: Sasquatch was the hall monitor at the night school.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Windsor says that a flashback should help explains how Slips got left behind in CDMS.
- Broken-Window Warning: Slips threw a rock with his distress message tied to it, through a window. In fact, it smashed through a series of windows of a number of skyscrapers, before landing at it's intended destination.
- Chekhov's Gun: Adam loses his Night-Vision Goggles, early on in the episode. In the end, Slips reveals that he found them on the ground shortly after, and used them to find his way out.
- Counting Sheep: Windsor was counting fence-jumping bananas, before being woken up by a rock landing on his head.Windsor: Ow! Stupid bananas.
- Dark Is Evil: Making their way in night school was no cake walk.
- Disney Death: Windsor found Slips' shedded skin, he assumed he was dead. Surprise, surprise, he wasn't.
- Foreign Queasine: While exploring night school, the gang discovered a scavengers class, who ate garbage.
- Ironic Name: A very large skunk kid was named "Tiny".
- Mirror Universe: Charles Darwin Middle School at night becomes an alternate location.
- Primal Chest-Pound: Windsor did this to summon the rest of the pack.
- Seldom-Seen Species: The night students include a binturong and a caecilian, assuming their names are accurate.
- Shirtless Scene: Windsor tore his shirt off and pounded his chest, to summon the rest of the pack.
- Smelly Skunk: Adam sadly wandered into a skunk classroom and got himself sprayed.
- Trespassing to Talk: The gang shows up in Adam's house, while he's sleeping to alert him about Slips being in danger.
- Voiceover Letter: When Slips was writing his distress letter, this was played.
