The Lady Bone Demon successfully overcomes the Monkey King and now has the perfect champion to complete her 'destiny' - Monkie Kid reunites with Mei and Red Son, but before they can come up with a plan, the corrupted Monkey King arrives to take Mei and the Samadhi Fire to his new master. Now Monkie Kid and the heroes will need to fight their strongest opponent ever...

- Changed My Mind, Kid: Played With in regards to Macaque’s role in this episode — it turns out he decided to follow MK and Ne Zha rather than run away after “The Samadhi Fire”, saving the former from a possessed Monkey King then bringing the heroes the depowered Mayor at the end of the episode.
- Darkest Hour: By the end of the episode, Mei is captured by a possessed Monkey King, Lady Bone Demon has officially secured the Samadhi Fire, Ne Zha has been put out of commission, and the heroes (plus Red Son) are back to square one. That is, until Macaque appears with The Mayor in tow, claiming he’s got what they need to defeat her.
