Johann tries to reason with Setsuna, but Setsuna refuses to listen to the Trinities as they can't possibly be Gundams. Tieria shows up in the Virtue to assist Setsuna. Sumeragi orders Lockon to intervene, but she leaves it up to him as to whether he should stop the fight or assist Setsuna and Tieria. Alejandro appears to have anticipated the battle between the Gundams. Ribbons smirks for an unknown reason.

Tieria transforms Virtue into Nadleeh and activates the Trial System, which allows him to disable any mobile suit that is linked to Veda. He uses this to shut down the Thrones. Before Tieria can finish the Trinities off, Alejandro smirks, the Trial system goes offline, and the Thrones reactivate.

Lockon arrives and sides with Setsuna and Tieria against the Trinities. Johann reveals Setsuna and Lockon's true identities to one another, and tells Lockon that Setsuna was a member of the KPSA, the terrorist group that killed Lockon's family. The Trinities depart.

A traitor within Celestial Being contacts the leaders of the three power blocs. Saji visits Louise in the hospital, but she breaks up with him because she fears that her injuries will hold him back from his dream of going into space. Kinue meets with a co-worker, who tells her that going after Laguna Harvey would be inadvisable, as he is a major shareholder in their company.

Lockon confronts Setsuna. Lockon admits that he's a hypocrite because he joined Celestial Being, which is arguably a terrorist group, to end terrorism forever. He pulls a gun on Setsuna. Setsuna allows Lockon to shoot him, but Lockon misses on purpose. Setsuna tells Lockon that the man who orchestrated the bombing that killed his family, Ali al-Saachez, is still alive and one of their enemies. Lockon decides to forgive Setsuna.

In Antarctica, representatives from the three power blocs' militaries visit a secret base and find a gift from the Celestial Being traitor: 30 pseudo-GN drives.
