- Contrived Clumsiness: Jacob "accidentally" spills his coffee on Nostalgia Bot (aka Nosty) to get out of constantly winding him back up.
- Reduced to Dust: Ian receives a warning about mummy terrorists attempting to steal the Power Brick, but when he arrives at the Power Brick room, he finds they've been disintegrated into ashes.
- Wind-Up Key: Nosty is activated by one, which frustrates Jacob because he has to leave his workstation and wind Nosty back up whenever he powers down.
