With his Dark Rangers assembled, Lord Zedd strips the Power Rangers of their Morphers and releases them back to Earth. Unable to contact the Command Center thanks to the shrinking forcefield enveloping it, all looks bleak for our heroes. Tommy, still powerless and trapped in the Other World dimension, is chased by both Turbanshell and Goldar! Even if he can find his inner strength, escape, and recover the remnants of his powers, this will be the last battle for the Green Ranger.

- The others congratulate Tommy for what he accomplished in this episode and say he'll always be part of the team.
- As he's going to being leave town for a little while, Tommy says he'll be holding the others close to his heart.
- Heel–Face Turn/Took a Level in Kindness/Because You Were Nice to Me: The Teens' evil counterparts, after Jason bought their drinks for them, which they really appreciate.
- Kneel Before Zod: Goldar to Tommy. Tommy teases going for it, before telling Goldar he's out of his mind.
- New Powers as the Plot Demands: Tommy suddenly has a never-before-seen laser rifle when inside of Turbanshell. Afterward, he makes an offhand comment that it's one of Billy's inventions.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Goldar almost gets Tommy to cross the Despair Event Horizon, but then his taunts about Tommy's former glory remind him of how much good he's capable of, even without his powers.
- Zedd gets this for not simply killing the rangers when he had them at his mercy, vying instead to send them back to Angel Grove without their powers so they can watch their city get wrecked by his monster. Not to mention, Turban Shell had Tommy on the ropes before Goldar made him leave to go attack Angel Grove, the latter saying it was on their master's orders. And we all know how that turned out...
- The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Why Goldar interferes with Turbanshell's attempt to get Tommy. Zedd did want Turbanshell to go attack Angel Grove, but Goldar still insisted on being the one to finish Tommy. Turbanshell is rather displeased about this turn of events.
- The Psycho Rangers: Lord Zedd's Dark Rangers were simply recolored Putty costumes to match the Rangers. They never actually fought their good counterparts, mostly because the suits were so fragile that any fight scenes would have ripped them.
- Their civilian identities were even Evil Counterparts of the Rangers' civilian identities with similar names.
- Put on a Bus: The school is going on break, and Tommy says he'll be leaving town to get his bearings.
- Status Quo Is God: Downplayed immensely; the Dark Rangers were depowered before they could even begin as a threat, but Tommy still loses his Green Ranger abilities for good.
- Team Hand-Stack/"YEAH!" Shot: At Tommy's request, the team does this "one last time" at the end of the episode.
- This Cannot Be!: Zedd over Tommy shattering the crystal and losing his Dark Rangers.
- Villainous Breakdown: Zedd loses it completely for the first time after Tommy shatters the Green Crystal and transports his Dark Rangers out of the Otherworld."NOOOOOOOOOOOO! NO! NOT MY DARK RANGERS! THIS CAN’T BE HAPPENING TO ME! NOT AGAIN! NO! I CAN’T BE DEFEATED! IT’S IMPOSSIBLE! NOOOO!"
- The Walls Are Closing In: According to Alpha, the forcefield surrounding the Command Center was also compressing, with it threatening to cause the Command Center to implode. Fortunately, Tommy destroys Zedd's crystal just in time.
