Max is charged with saving the world from an invading fleet of aliens who want to eat humanity's brains. To do it, he'll have to team up with the most annoying nerd in school...

- Brain Theft: The alien invaders want to steal human brains.
- Look Both Ways: Ernie stresses the importance of this to Max, after the alien who was chasing them didn't and got obliterated by a truck.
- Plug 'n' Play Technology: A diskette containing the aliens' plans is somehow compatible with an (admittedly probably really souped-up by 90's standards) ordinary Earth computer. Ernie's even able to rewrite it to spread a virus to the alien ship's computer
a few years before Independence Day famously used that idea.
