- Ascended Fanboy: Prohyas gets to fulfill out his childhood dream by putting on the Broccoli Punch costume and becoming his hero.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Both Prohyas and Vambre interrupt the narrator to make name changes to their magiswords. Eventually the narrator plays along with them.
- Expy: Broccoli Punch is more than inspired by Kamen Rider, from his civilian identity's clothes and hair, to his transformation sequence, to him transforming and using powers by dropping pieces of broccoli into his belt, to his catchphrase being "Count up your stalks". Being voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch doesn't hurt the tokusatsu connection, either.
- Hero Stage Show: The central conflict of the episode is Flonk taking over the show and beating up the other actors while making puns. Prohyas and Vambre have to deal with him.
