Nathan decides to seek out the Yanemengo tribe (which his grandfather came from) while Murderface is infected with parasites.- All There in the Manual: Nathan's great-grandmother isn't named in the episode proper, but her name is Amelda according to concept art.
- Groin Attack: Murderface has parasites swim into his groin while he's peeing off the boat.
- More Dakka: The Klokateers raze the jungle with a hail of gunfire, unknowingly taking out a good portion of General Crozier's group.
- Mushroom Samba: The episode ends on one as the guys finally get to enjoy some yopo blown in their face. Crozier gets some blown in his face as well, giving him a nightmarish warning from Cardinal Ravenwood.
- Please Put Some Clothes On: The guys insist on Murderface putting his pants back on when he goes out onto the deck naked.
- Shout-Out: The episode title is a reference to Fitzcarraldo, which is likewise set in the South American rainforest and features the struggle to get an oversized riverboat over a mountain.
