"Oh, man, it’s even scarier than in the trailer!"
Tari executes one of the most dangerous and risky glitches yet.
Following the trail of Sheridan's backdoor, the crew of the Bluejay journey into the dark depths of Scrapbeard's Fortress. Meanwhile, Masa is put through a "team orientation exercise".
Episode 25 contains examples of:
- Call-Back: An asset of a Sherbucks coffee cup (an obvious reference to his coffee addiction) is a clue that Tari finds to track down the backdoor to Sheridan's server.
- Cliffhanger: Tari, Theo, and Marco manage to perform the titular death warp and get through Sheridan's backdoor, but find out that Lamar is missing, while in the real world, Lamar suddenly has glowing yellow eyes and is apparently dying. It's then revealed that Lamar has been warped by Evelyn into Sheridan's server, alongside the other Meta Runners Evelyn attacked. Sheridan himself tells them that he’s offering them a chance to be part of SHERCorp, and introduces the brainwashed Masa and Belle as his headliners...
- Curse Cut Short: Theo calls Marco's Robot Buddy "a piece of—" before the scene cuts away.
- Fiendish Fish: The boss of Scarpbeard’s Fortress being used as a backdoor is a giant monstrous anglerfish with a metal jaw, and its lure resembles a smaller, much cuter anglerfish.
- Fishing Minigame: Skybreakers has one where players can fish up chests of loot. According to Lamar, every single video game is required to include one by law; even the creators of Turbo Crash—a Co-Op Multiplayer Car Fu arena fighter—implemented one successfully.
- For the Evulz: He uses Masa's guilt against him to make him willing to be brainwashed, though judging by what he does to Belle, he can just brainwash them regardless of their guilt.
- Guilt-Induced Nightmare: Sheridan invokes this using Masa's memories of all of the wrongs he did in order to convince Masa to let him brainwash him.
- Leeroy Jenkins: Theo's first order of business upon reaching Scrapbeard's Fortress is to rush in before the rest of the crew can form any sort of plan. This and his friends' immediate reaction plays out like the trope-naming video almost to the word.
- Lotus-Eater Machine: Turns out that all of the Meta Runners that Evelyn had been seemingly "deleting" actually get warped into Sheridan's server.
- Mind-Control Device: That device Sheridan had been preparing to use from a few episodes earlier is used to turn Masa and Belle into his servants.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Lamar blowing up the gate instead of using the dungeon key allows Evelyn and Lucinia to effortlessly get through and follow the Bluejay, forcing Lamar to go back to slow them down.
- The Reveal: The purpose of the room full of frozen avatars in Sheridan’s simulation is revealed: when Evelyn “deletes” a Meta Runner, their mind is transferred into their respective avatar.
- Reused Character Design: Yet another Petey recolor appears in the cave.

- Tari opens a chest and grabs the item inside in the same manner as a 3D The Legend of Zelda game; the act of fishing up treasure also brings The Wind Waker to mind.
- Theo's Leeroy Jenkins moment is a near word-for-word reference to the Leeroy Jenkins Video itself.Theo: Alright, let's do this! CRACKEEEEERJAAAAACK!!
Lamar: Oh boy, he just ran in.
Tari: Oh, jeez... Save him, save him!
- Smart Ball: Evelyn recognizes that killing Lamar's avatar will merely have him respawn with Tari and the others, which would effectively help them, so she decides to warp his mind into Sheridan's server instead.
- Taking You with Me: In order to perform the death warp and get through the backdoor, the Bluejay has to kill the anglerfish while dying at the exact same time, and outside the bounds of the boss arena.
- This Is Gonna Suck: Inside of Sheridan's personal server, Lamar has this reaction when he sees the brainwashed Masa and Belle.Lamar: Ohh, this ain't good...
- Wham Episode: It turns out that Evelyn had been warping all of the Meta Runners she's come across into Sheridan's server, including Lamar. To make matters worse, Sheridan has Masa and Belle under his control.
- Your Soul Is Mine!: Sheridan has managed to have multiple Meta Runners warped into his simulation without actually installing the warp function, by having their minds transferred into digital look-alikes of them, leaving their physical bodies behind as indicated by Sofia mentioning that Lamar’s vitals are dropping.
