Martin, Diana & Java are sent to an Indian temple in Mohenjo-daro to stop an evil scientist, Dr. Green from retrieving the temple's treasure and spirit of darkness, Nadu by using Java.
General Tropes:
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Dr. Green uses his knowledge of lasers to turn Java into his slave.
- Chekhov's Gun: As lampshaded by Billy, the golden coin he found helps the team free Java and lead Nadu into the sunlight.
- Guest-Star Party Member: This is the first episode before getting his human disguise that Billy joins the team on a mission.
- Humans Are the Real Monsters: Dr. Green brainwashes Java and sends him against a dangerous spirit, all for the sake of his own greed.
- Mad Scientist: Dr. Green, and amoral scientist who was fired by the Center for making illegal experiments, and who brainwashes Java in order to get the treasure Nadu is guarding.
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Nadu's second form has four arms.
- Non-Malicious Monster: Nadu might be dangerous and scary, but he's only doing what he was assigned to do thousands of years ago, guard the treasure his master left.
- One-Winged Angel: Nadu takes on a much dangerous and scary form when going after the heroes.
- Weakened by the Light: Nadu, the Spirit of Darkness, can only survive in the perpetual darkness of the catacombs, and when exposed to the sunlight he vanishes into nothing.
