When Adorabat's dad Eugene shows up and forbids her from working with the Sheriff's Dept. because it's too dangerous due to Adorabat’s mother Sonara being taken away by a cave monster, Adorabat tries to sneak off to fight monsters with Mao Mao, but even Mao Mao agrees it’s best if Adorabat listens to Eugene. So, Adorabat has to prove that she can take care of herself, even if it means finally bringing down the cave monster that took Sonara.

- Chekhov's Gun: Adorabat is introduced practicing her scream attack, which she later uses against the monster.

Badgerclops tells him to snap out of it, but ends up joining him instead. Even when they are flying off to answer an emergency, Mao Mao is still trying to shove ice-cream through the visor of his helmet.
- Missing Mom: Adorabat’s mother, Sonara, was killed by a cave dragon in the past.
- The Runaway: Twice in the episode, Adorabat tries to sneak out the window, Bindle Stick in hand. When Eugene finds the window of her room open, he thinks she's done it a third time and goes after her, not realizing she was still in the house.
- Short-Distance Phone Call: Eugene sees Adorabat with "strangers" and calls the police, not realizing that said strangers are the police until Badgerclops' phone rings.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: Adorabat is calling for Eugene to tell him that someone ate all the junk food in the house, with her face smeared with cheese snack dust.
