Higgins and Kumu are in danger when Robin's Nest is taken by mercenaries. The situation becomes even more dire when they find out what the intruders are looking for; the identity of the "White Knight," Robin's codename for Magnum.

- Big Damn Heroes: Higgins, Rick, T.C. and Katsumoto rescue Thomas from the mercenaries.
- Bittersweet Ending: Higgins, Kumu and Magnum are all safe and Magnum's identity is safe for now, but the mercenaries were hired by a Greater-Scope Villain who wants him for some unknown, and presumably nefarious, reason.
- Call-Forward: A Big Bad known only as "Ivan" is looking for Magnum, for reasons the gang will learn in "Day I Met the Devil".
- Cold Sniper: Rick's sniper skills are instrumental in the rescue of Thomas. Rick shoots out the leg of the chair he's tied to, making Thomas fall out of the way of the ensuing firefight.
- Dude in Distress: While trying to save Higgins and Kumu, Magnum is revealed to the mercenaries as their target and kidnapped. He's tied to a chair in an Abandoned Warehouse as his captors await their employer.
- Shout-Out:
- Higgins asks Magnum if she "completes him."
- The Greater-Scope Villain responsible for the episode's events is known only as "Ivan." In the original series, Ivan was a Russian agent who orchestrated the events of "Did You See The Sun Rise?"
- Water Torture: To find out who "The White Knight" is, the gang's ringleader waterboards Higgins with water from the ornamental pond. She's disappointed when he's killed in the climactic fight, because "I had unpleasant plans for that one."
