A thrill-seeking construction worker involves his wife and friends in an elaborate hoax to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Dover Demon's appearance (and make some dough). What starts as a fallacy may become a nightmarish reality, however, when the hoaxers venture into the demon's thicket to film the video...only to have the titular creature ambush them.
This episode contains examples of:
- Downer Ending: The hoaxers all meet their ends at the Dover Demon's talons with authorities unable to pinpoint their remains the following morning. All that's found are the tattered remnants of the monster costume.
- Genre Savvy: Glenn Diffy, for what little good it did him, had the sense to bring a pocket knife to defend himself out in the thickets. He's also the only one to take the demon seriously upon seeing signs of it marking territory and quickly deduces a trap after escaping it.
- It Can Think: The Dover Demon, with how quickly it butchered Royce (in a manner of seconds) and camouflaged the pitfalls that Glenn (almost) and Chad fell victim to, its clear the creature wanted to drag out its victims' suffering before tearing them apart.
