Recap / Little Princess Short Pilot

Go To

The Princess is having a picnic with Puss and Gilbert. The narrator asks her about her life, and we get a montage of her riding on her trike, throwing Gilbert downstairs, searching for something, Puss running around in the kitchen, the adults peeking from behind a door, Puss puffing up, the adults chasing the Princess, and the Princess screaming, "NO!". In spite of this, she calls her life "pretty normal".

Later, the Princess wraps Gilbert up like a mummy, and the narrator asks her what she likes most about being a princess. She says that she likes her crown because it's shiny and she can use it as a step stool to reach the biscuit tin. She then gets a biscuit, while the Chef and Puss chase some mice.

The Princess goes outside and gets a biscuit, then decides that she likes her crown a lot, but not best. She says that she likes her potty, but sometimes can't find it. After a search, she finds it on the General's head. The narrator asks if she likes her potty best, but she decides she likes her tricycle better.

She and the Prime Minister have a tricycle race, but then the Prime Minister crashes into the clothesline and falls into the pond. The Princess then looks over the Admiral's toy boats and her dummy and wonders if she likes them best.

Then, she goes inside, stands outside her bedroom door, and wonders if living in a stone castle is the best thing about her life. She accidentally drops Gilbert down the stairs, and he lands on the King and Queen's "Snakes and Ladders" board. The King and Queen say it's bedtime, but the Princess protests, then yells, "NO!" and runs out of the castle. The adults give chase, then force her into bed.

In bed, the Princess realises what she likes best and tells the adults: playing with them. Then, she grabs Puss, hugs him, and they fall asleep.
