Recap / Lilo & Stitch: The Series S2 E3 "Swapper"

Go To

"Swapper" is the forty-second episodenote  of Lilo & Stitch: The Series. It first aired on November 19, 2004.

A new girl named Victoria moves into Kokaua Town and joins Lilo's hula class, but Mertle tries to befriend her to prevent Lilo from gaining a new friend. Lilo tries to throw a party to prove she's "normal" and win Victoria over, but this gets complicated when a two-headed experiment swaps her and Stitch's bodies.

Experiments who appeared or were mentioned in this episode:

  • Swapper (X-355): This episode's Monster of the Week; a two-headed, four-armed, greenish-teal lizard-like experiment who is designed to switch people's minds. He (or they if each head is treated separately) can switch more than two individuals at the same time and can even switch individuals who are far away from one another and are communicating through live video technology, and only he can swap people back to their original bodies.
  • Reuben (X-625)

  • An Aesop: You don't have to be normal to make a friend.
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: Experiment 355 (Swapper)'s powers are this. He swaps Gantu with Dr. Hämsterviel, Lilo with Stitch, and Jumba with Pleakley. He can even do this between more than two people, like when he swaps Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley all around during the "Lilo's Not Weird" party.
  • Gag Haircut: When Lilo in Stitch's body leaves Stitch in her body at the salon to get a haircut for the party, Stitch decides to go with whatever interests him instead of a more reasonable haircut. The result? He gets a ridiculous-looking tall blue and white fauxhawk.
  • Voices Are Mental: When Swapper swaps his targets, their voices go along with them, so Lilo still sounds like herself in Stitch's body and vice versa.
